The objective of the project is that the future Lean experts will become familiar with all aspects of the Toyota Production System. When looking at processes participants will be able to uncover and eliminate waste, as well as to make these changes measurable with numbers. They will acquire the knowledge of preparing and completing a Kaizen project, as a result of which all improvement ideas can be put into practice.
The training is of 6 months duration which means 5 training weeks and 1 week for certification. The 3-4 weeks between the modules are suitable for preparation, when the recommended literature can be read, practical tasks, tests and reports can be written.
The Lean Black Belts you appoint for the training will be presented with the necessary books before each training module, so already during the preparation phase they can acquire the basic knowledge and a common way of thinking will develop that provides a firm basis for exchanging experience and ideas.
Each module is organised at a different Lean Production partner. This provides great opportunity to collect ideas and experience from each other, and also gives an insight into how the different Lean tools can be used in the different branches of the industry. |
This knowledge enables participants to see their processes from the outside and think about them in an objective way.
It is advisable to free the trained and certified Lean Black Belts in their full working hours to conduct Kaizen projects so as to use their knowledge and skills to the full. Their task is to introduce Lean in the structural level of the company, as well as to be able to fill any key manager’s position in the future.
During the training the Lean Black Belts prepare their companies value stream plan and they apply the acquired knowledge in conducting a Kaizen project of your choice with regards to which will help best to achieve your strategic business goals.
At the end of the training your own Lean Black Belt will have compiled the full project list that is necessary for restructuring the value stream in a Lean view, which applies the theory of one piece flow and the pull system.
Another positive aspect is that with the help of the Lean Production network the trained Lean Black Belts can keep in touch, which provides an opportunity for continuous Bench Marking.
